"Koozie", "Coozie", "Cozy", "Cosy", "Huggie"
There are quite a few names for a beverage insulator depending on which part of the country you are from. So here are a few facts that sway me to call them Koozies:
- I've always called them koozies.
- A "Cosy" goes on a teapot and is typically crocheted. Arguably, if you have a crocheted can holder, it should be called a "Can Cosy".
- Wikipedia redirects "coozie" to "koozie".
- Wikipedia says that a "cozy" can also be called a "koozie" but doesn't go out of the way to say a "koozie" can be called a "cozy".
- "Huggy" or "Huggie"? Um, YUCK! It should be obvious why referring to your drinks wraps as "Huggies" is a very bad idea.
- "Hugger" is not self evident by itself as a noun.
